Anders Lindegaard attracts interest from Sevilla

SEVILLA are looking got sign Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard during the January window.

David De Gea Player Profile

The Denmark international has failed to break into the first-team at Old Trafford since arriving for £5m in 2011.

He has started just 19 Premier League games, with Sir Alex Ferguson, David Moyes and Louis van Gaal all preferring David De Gea between the sticks.

And since the arrival of former Barcelona stopper Victor Valdes last week on a free transfer, Lindegaard appears to be surplus to requirements.

According to today's reports in Spain, Sevilla are looking to put the 30-year-old out of his misery by offering him a chance to compete with first-choice Beto.

He is actually open to other opportunities

The La Liga giants will, however, need to battle Borussia Monchengladbach for his signature.

Lindegaard's agent - Michael Stensgaard - had said over the summer that his client would be open to a move.

"Anders would consider staying in England, but he is actually open to other opportunities too," Stensgaard said.
