M25 traffic LIVE: QEII Bridge closed after 'incident' near Dartford Crossing
There are no timescales for how long the closure will remain in place.
There are huge traffic queues building on a busy stretch of the M25 as emergency services rush to the scene of a "police-led incident". The M25/A282 is closed clockwise/southbound between J30 (A13) and J1a (Dartford) due to the incident on the QEII Bridge at the Dartford Crossing. The bridge has been closed southbound, as has the eastbore tunnel (for northbound traffic at the crossing). There are currently no timescales for how long the closure will remain in place.
National Highways said in an update: "The M25/A282 is closed clockwise/southbound between J30 (A13) and J1a (Dartford) due to an Essex Police led incident on the QEII Bridge at Dartford Crossing. National Highways Traffic Officers and contractors are assisting with traffic management. Due to the nature of the incident, there are currently no timescales for how long the closure may be in place for. As a result of this incident, the eastbore tunnel (for northbound traffic at the crossing) is also closed. Northbound crossing traffic is confined to using the west bore Dartford tunnel only with a height restriction of 4'8m (15'9"). Vehicles over this height will have to seek an alternative route via the clockwise M25."

Road has reopened
The road has now reopened, according to Essex Police.
However the delays are in place.
Motorists facing a delay of 60 mins
There are delays of over 1 hour on the M25 clockwise approaching the crossing, National Highways warned.
Diversion route to follow
Road users are also advised to follow the hollow triangle diversion symbol:
• From the M25 J30 interchange, take the 3rd exit onto the A13 towards Dagenham and Central London
(Please note that this route passes through the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). Further information can be found on the https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/ultra-low-emission-zone)
• At the A12/A102 interchange, take the exit onto the A102 southbound and continue through Blackwall Tunnel
• Follow the A102 and A2 through Kidbrooke and Danson interchanges towards the M25
• Take the exit at the M25 J2 Darenth interchange to re-join the motorway
