McGregor, who made a reported $140million from a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather last August, has not fought in a UFC bout since the win over Eddie Alvarez in November 2016.

But UFC chief White has since also revealed there had been talks above McGregor possibly returning to the Octagon in September.

“We had talked about him fighting in September,” White said.
