Paul Pogba joined Manchester United for £89m in the summer

JUVENTUS have been backed in their decision to sell Paul Pogba to Manchester United.

Paul Pogba - 5 things you need to know

The 23-year-old rejoined the Red Devils for a world-record £89m this summer.

Pogba has shown glimpses of his talent and played the full 90 minutes in his second Old Trafford debut against Southampton last month.

Recent reports suggested Pogba had 'betrayed' some of his team-mates, who were informed he would be staying with Juve.

But Italian football manager Mark Iuliano, who used to coach Juve, has refused to blame the Serie A champions for letting Pogba leave.

"Juventus had a tremendous transfer campaign, both incoming and outgoing,” Iuliano told TuttoJuve.

“I’m sorry they’ve lost Pogba, but it was the right decision to let him go because in those conditions it was a great deal.
