Goals from Memphis Depay, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata ensured three points for Louis van Gaal's men.

The win means United headed back to the top of the Premier League for the first time in two years.

And Young is confident the Red Devils can continue their fine form throughout the season in a bid to restore glory at Old Trafford.

“We came into the season saying we wanted to fight for the title,” he told MUTV.

“A club like United wants to fight for everything we’re involved in – the league, the Champions League and both the cup competitions.

“We want to get ourselves back to winning silverware.

“We’re doing well in the league but there is a long way to go, so we just take each game as it comes.”
