The once-close brothers have endured a fractured relationship for many years, especially since Harry's decision to step back from royal life in 2020. William and Harry are no longer on speaking terms, and the timing of their last conversation is unknown.

Writing in his bombshell 2023 memoir, titled Spare, Harry shared an insight into their relationship growing up, with William thought not to have been happy about his younger sibling joining him at his school.

Harry wrote: "Willy told me to pretend I didn't know him."

He then added that William told him, "'You don't know me, Harold'," before adding, "'And I don't know you'."

With the conversion thought to have coincided with Harry's entry to Eton in 1998, the brothers would have been aged 16 and 13.
