Avengers Endgame set for digital and Blu-ray release

Last Friday, Avengers Endgame re-released in cinemas with a few minutes of bonus content after the end credits. The marketing move was to help get the Marvel epic that extra boost it needed at the box office to beat Avatar and become the highest-grossing movie of all time. But while the re-release did bring in around $7.5 million worldwide to make Avengers Endgame’s total box office $2,761,318,161, it’s still short by $26.6 million of matching Avatar’s $2,787,965,087. And according to box office insiders known to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s now impossible for Avengers Endgame to break Avatar’s record anytime soon.

This could encourage revisits to the previous just as was the case with Captain Marvel when Endgame hit cinemas.

Nevertheless, as the analysts confirmed, even this won’t be enough to beat Avatar in the future.

Perhaps another re-release in a year or two will flock fans back to see the Marvel epic on the big screen.

Generally, fans were pleased with the Stan Lee cameo and the first two minutes of Spider-Man Far From Home.

However, the unfinished Hulk deleted scene was said to be the biggest disappointment.

One fan said: “Tbh the re-release bonus content for Avengers EndGame was really poor quality, and almost looked Fan-Made."

Another fan added: “"Saw Avengers Endgame again today. The bonus stuff isn't great. The unfinished deleted scene looks to have been from early, prob the 1st Hulk shot of the film. It's a Die Hard call back, complete with Reginald Veljohnson. The Scott Lang Die Hard reference prob replaced this."

Nevertheless, some fans didn’t mind as they’re so determined for Avengers Endgame to beat Avatar.

One wrote: “Was seeing Endgame again for the bonus footage worth it? Probably not. Was it worth it to see it again to help it beat Avatar? ABSO-F***ING-LOUTELY!"

Another said: “"If you're a Marvel fan, GO SEE ENDGAME AGAIN. Extra footage was worth it. Love you Stan 3000.”
