Alex Jones announces the birth of her baby boy
However, that was until today, when The One Show favourite took to her Instagram page to reveal what her and her husband Charlie Thomson had named their baby boy.
Uploading a snapshot of the newborn's birth certificate, the 39-year-old captioned it: "Teddy Thomson is official."
The image itself revealed that their son's full name is Edward Alun Burrell Thomson, as well as his date of birth, January 22, 2017.
Alex first announced Teddy's birth on the BBC programme several days later, when she asked viewers for help with names.

The brunette beauty was inundated with messages online following her big reveal, with one user asking: "Love the name. Where does Burrell come from?"
Two others continued: "Gorgeous name hun, hope you're all well," and: "Fantastic name Alex."
Just three days earlier, Alex had shared a photo of her spouse and his father staring at their new addition.

"So what now?? #blokesandbabies #fatherandson," she amusingly wrote, noting the pair's confused but adoring expressions.
Speaking shortly after giving birth, Alex gushed: "The last four days have been heaven, we have been in this bubble the three of us, it's just the best time.
"We're a bit behind on the whole name thing, because we didn't know if he'd be a boy or a girl. We thought when we see him we'll know what he looks like."
