Tennant made the decision to go forward with the adoption after he and Georgia became proud parents to baby daughter Olive in March last year (11).

Confirming his "double dad" status to radio DJ Christian O'Connell, Tennant says, "My baby is almost a year old and I adopted my wife's boy last year as well so I became a father twice in six months - that's got to be something of a record hasn't it?"

Tennant married Moffett, the daughter of another former Doctor Who, Peter Davison, on New Year's Eve (31Dec11) in London.
