Lily Allen 'glad to be alive' after HGV runs her off road
Singer Lily Allen appeared to be shaken up as she shared a picture of her damaged Porsche.

Lily Allen shared a snap of her battered Porsche on social media after "being run off the road by a HGV". The Smile hitmaker shared that she was "glad to be alive" after the incident in a post on Instagram.
The 40-year-old singer and podcaster turned to the image-sharing platform to reveal she had been in an accident this January. She wrote: "Could have done without an HGV running me off the road but other than that a relatively good start to 2026." Lily included an image of her high-end vehicle, displaying scratched paintwork along the sides and near the wheel. The damage likely resulted from the impact. Her four-word reaction to the frightening experience was simple – "happy to be alive". Poking fun at other stars, she went on to mock how fellow celebrities have been celebrating the new year.

Numerous stars have flooded their feeds with throwback snaps from a decade earlier as part of a trending challenge, which clearly hasn't won Lily over. She quipped: "Happy to be alive and to not be posting any photos taken in 2016."
The Instagram update quickly racked up over 11,000 likes within minutes – with followers flooding the comments with supportive messages. One follower commented: "Happy you are ok! So scary."
Another remarked: "Omg the new Porsche." A third added: "Happy you're safe Lily." Meanwhile, someone else chimed in: "Thank god you're all okay."
Despite the collision, Lily appears to have enjoyed some bright moments this January. She uploaded a photo of herself lounging in the sun, donning a bikini and baseball cap.
She also shared images of her outfits and snacks enjoyed throughout the month. Additionally, it appears she's taken several flights and witnessed some stunning sunsets.
This incident follows a series of successful appearances after the release of her highly praised fifth studio album, West End Girl.
The album was launched on October 24, 2025, via BMG, marking the end of a seven-year break for the singer. It's an intensely personal compilation of songs, combining heart-wrenching insights into the collapse of her marriage to Stranger Things star David Harbour with fictional elements, all delivered in her signature gentle, sweet and soothing vocals.
Lily has confirmed that she will embark on a concert tour, Lily Allen Performs West End Girl, in March 2026, having announced it on October 30, 2025. The tour will take place in theatres across the UK at a variety of premier venues, including the London Palladium.
She plans to perform the songs in chronological order and, due to high demand, a second leg was added to the tour for June 2026, which is set to be performed at arena venues, including The O2.
Meanwhile, Lily first rose to prominence after uploading songs to MySpace in 2005, which subsequently led to some of her tracks being aired on BBC Radio 1 and a record deal.
